In the summer of 2002, I was approached by a man named Cpl. Norm Schneiderhan of the Orange County Sheriffs Office to perform "A Champion" at the World's Largest Truck Convoy in Orlando benefiting the Special Olympics. After talking to Norm for a bit, I decided to try to write a theme song for the truckers that keep this country moving.

I went out and spoke to a few truckers one on one. They taught me quite a bit. I went on to write America Moves By Truck.
